Keep on keepin' on

So I still don't have high-speed internet, and the 24 kbps connection I do have was at a time, 8 years ago, like a magical blessing, but now that I have tasted of the high-speed internet elixir, is like some sort of sick joke.

Anyway, I'll get to more posting soon enough. Probably will have a cable modem by the end of the month, unless something goes horribly, horribly wrong. Until then.

Quick thought

Sort of continuing thoughts from the previous post . . .

Everybody says that America is the land of the lawsuit, but what's missing from this is that America is also the land of the gigantic corporation. How else are we to hold gigantic corporations responsible for their actions?

The constant barrage of propaganda that makes Americans hate lawsuits and unions and "trial lawyers" is a blight on this nation, and something that must be stopped if there is to be equal justice for all in this country.

Sorry, no more indepth than that, but it's late and I'm working on a 26.4 kbps connection. Hopefully getting cable modem soon . . . . . .

Tucker Carlson: total asshole

Tucker Carlson, from reading about him in Franken's book and other places, strikes me as a person who isn't actually an asshole, but he plays one on TV.  The problem is that whereas when Larry David, for instance, plays an asshole it's comedy gold, Tucker Carlson damages our national discourse with his bullshit right-wing garbage that spews from his mouth without thought.  Still, for me I've usually been able to ignore him and leave him be.

But then he crosses a line.

I think August puts it best when he says that Tucker Carlson is now officially a worthless piece of shit. I'd like to offer my congratulations to Mr. Carlson for the promotion.

So, it's still been a while

Yeah, posting is slow. Sorry folks. Right now I don't have internet at home, so I won't be able to get back to a regular posting schedule for maybe a week or two. Don't worry, I'll get to it. Really.

So, I'm back

I'll get to more heavy posting soon enough. But in the meantime, check out this awesome post by Ampersand that summarizes the anti-SSM point of view with convenient visual aids. Also don't forget to check out Dangeresque 1: Dangeresque, too?

I'm still visiting my brother in LA, and will be back in Flagstaff tomorrow. Have fun, y'all.
